The Kiryat Hagalil Light Rail Station holds a crucial position on the Rupin Route linking haifa, Nazareth, and Nof Hagalil, designed to function as the city’s institutional core. Encircled by vital public structures, the station is poised to accommodate a substantial daily influx of users. The monumental roofing element outlines the way and connects the significant topography of the place in one continuous line of circular movement, seamlessly integrated with landscape and developmental elements.

Perched on a mountainside, approximately 15 meters beneath Ma’ale Yitzhak Street, the train station is nestled beside a public park and a cultural hall. The concept revolves around seamlessly interconnecting all tiers with a continuous circular pathway, skillfully merging developmental efforts and a unique roofing feature, eliminating the need for a conventional station structure. This approach transforms the train station into a landscape-focused endeavor, maximizing greenery and openness within the design.

The station’s core concept harmonizes panoramic site views with safety and user comfort in public spaces. By ensuring visibility from every angle, even in complex terrain, the design empowers commuters and pedestrians, erasing hidden spots and ensuring accessibility. This focus is particularly crucial in areas with lower personal security.

A progressive roof design serves dual purposes: aiding orientation and imparting the station with a monumental quality befitting its regional or national significance.Furthermore, the project integrates numerous seating zones along the guiding line. These spaces encourage public leisure and observation, creating an inviting atmosphere independently of the station’s primary function.

By ensuring visibility from every angle, even in complex terrain, the design empowers commuters and pedestrians, erasing hidden spots and ensuring accessibility.
