Evolution of the design process from demolition to construction

Usishkin Street is a major street in the heart of Jerusalem, partly in a historic neighborhood and under demand for façade preservations. These constraints dictated a design that on the one hand, maintains local scale, and on the other hand, adds new building areas to the plot.  The preserved façade is accentuated relative to the new structure, which has receded to emphasize the historical layers. The new building is characterized by modern materials, alongside openings and windows respecting the neighborhood rhythm. The new building will be elegant, respecting the history of the city as it evolves.

Osishkin 41 is an elegant building, respecting the history of the city as it evolves.
